A. The concept of a creator god is archaic and should be discarded. We now know that god (in all of its manifestations) is an emergent part of the human mind. But of course some minds are naturally more focused on this.. These individuals might have a harder time dispensing with their autohypnosis. In the evolution religion, some people have "evolved" further than others. Doesn't that mean they're "better"
Q. I'm a Christian, so I believe all the people on the planet descended from Noah. When the Constitution says "All men are created equal" I have no problem with that. But in the evolution religion, some people are said to have "evolved" further and ARE better than others. Is it the white people you consider to be better? Chuckie Darwin did, he even said so in his book subtitled "The Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life" The Japanese under Tojo thought they were more highly evolved than the Chinese, so they thought it was ok to slaughter them like animals. Hitler thought the Aryans were more highly evolved than everybody else, and he set out to kill everybody else beginning with the Jews. It's… [cont.]

A. Evolutionists think they are "better" than others - at least smarter. That is one of their greatest weaknesses - arrogant pride! They hold onto a philosophy that says man is evolving as time passes - getting smarter and more moral - because society today is so advanced compared to the so called "cave men era" yet crime never ceases or diminishes. Suicide rates have skyrocketed along with depression among our young people; Moral relativism is sweeping across the world like a plague. Evolution breeds despair, death, racism, arrogance, intolerance, and stupidity. Plus it's most harmful effect is that it refuses to give glory to God! It not only keeps man away from God by traveling down a wide road that leads to hell, it… [cont.]

A. Science has shown atheists have a higher intelligence than people with a strong religious faith. The difference is 5.8 points according to findings in developmental psychology!!! More members of the "intellectual elite" considered themselves atheists than the national average. Only 7 percent of members of the American National Academy of Sciences believed in God. Whilst only 3.3 percent believed in God in the UK s Royal Society. Several Gallup poll studies of the general population have shown that those with higher IQ s tend not to believe in God." 2. Does believing in evolution really make you "smarter" or "more evolved" than people who don't?
Q. Many answers and questions on R&S from people who claim to be atheist are fascinating to me. I have seen many answers and questions say that atheist's are "smarter" or "more evolved" than those who believe in religion because they study and believe in the theory of evolution. It must not be the studying of evolution that makes you smarter, because almost all Christians go to the same high schools and colleges as Atheist's and learn the same thing about evolution, so it must be the act of believing 100% in the theory that makes you smarter. Does believing in evolution really make you "smarter" or "more evolved" than people who don't believe in evolution?

How has the theory of evolution changed, or "evolved", since Plato??

A. History of Evolutionary Thinking: Thinking about evolution can be traced as far back as Ancient Greece. Plato ( 427-347 B.C.) and his student Aristotle ( 384-322 B.C.) held opinions contrary to any form of evolution. Plato believed in a philosophy called idealism. He conceived that there were two coexisting worlds: an ideal real world and an imaginary imperfect one, humans perceive with their senses. Plants and animals were mearly imperfect representatives of the ideal forms. Only the ideal forms were real. Evolution cannot occur since the real organisms are already perfect. Aristotle questioned Plato's thinking and believed organisms were placed on a ladder of increasing complexity. Each organism had an immovable place on this ladder and… [cont.]

If we "evolved" from monkeys, are we humans are going to "evolve" into something new one day?
Q. I know the evolution thing is a load of crap, but I just want to ask the people who believe in it this: So if monkeys evolved into humans, that must mean that we are going to evolve into something different day, right? So please explain to me how if everything is always "evolving" into something new, that means we will "evolve" one day.. I'd like to know what you think of this? Christians, I'd also like to know what you think of this. One last thing, I hope you atheists will find Jesus one day.. God bless

A. The short answer is: we don't know. No one knows, or can know. Evolution is change in a species in response to the environment. Since we can't predict the future, we can't say what our environment will be like in the future. We could continue to advance technologically, and physical traits would be less and less necessary, eventually leading to their loss. We could nuke ourselves back to the middle ages, where physical fitness and toughness would be crucial. Even if we knew what the future held, evolution still has a random element to it. That's not to say that it's totally random. It's driven by random change (though still following the rules of physics, chemistry, biology, and probability) and shaped by non-random natural selection. That… [cont.]

Could religion have "evolved" to help human beings?
Q. Do you think evolution could have "evolved" to siphon out the unintelligent human beings from the intelligent ones, so as the smarter species survives? Think about it, religion is a pretty big waste of time, you spend your time praying and going to churches, you ignore crucial scientific facts because religion says they aren't true, etc. Do you think this could be possible? Grr, I made a typo in the first sentence, it should be: Do you think religion could have "evolved" to siphon out the unintelligent human beings from the intelligent ones?

Swine flu is a relatively new virus because it "evolved", this is irrefutable. Hence evolution is truth ok?
Q. Is it possible to debate this salient point on its merits? Can logic be used to refute the overwhelming truth that this is nothing but evolution? This is evolution occurring, plain and simple. You agree? Emma, yeah sure, all the geneticists and biologists are all in a vast conspiracy to "make up" the theory of evolution.

How come creationists always say, "If humans evolved from apes, why are there still apes?"?
Q. Why not the question, "If apes evolved from humans, why are there still humans?" It fits into the same category of "I've-never-even attempted-to-study-evolution-in-my-life" people. Do they somehow think when an animal is more "evolved" it is more intelligent? Evolution is not defined by intelligence. Intelligence is just one factor in the larger view idea of "survival".

A. In regards to ape/human evolution, I'd like to see skeletal or fossil remains of the transitioned body before believing it. Unfortunately, these do not exist. What can you do? Maybe apes and humans are just different species. Who knows about bacterial evolution.

A. I'm sorry you have a tragic excuse for a biology teacher. Anyhoo, they're here because they still fill a niche in their ecosystem. They have no motivation to change. It isn't like crap just evolves for the hell of it and some monkeys evolved into humans because they thought it was cool or something. Here's how evolution works: 1) Traits of a parent are passed down to their offspring with some degree of variations to them 2) Traits that are more beneficial to producing offspring are more likely to be passed down to future generations (by the simple fact because that means there are more offspring to pass traits down to) That's it. Nothing magical. Monkey's are still around because they still have adequate food and water in their ecosystem… [cont.]
